Bristol, United Kingdom – 15th July 2024. EnsiliTech is delighted to announce its receipt of the SPARKies Award 2024 for Most Innovative Use of Tech. This prestigious award recognizes our breakthrough ensilicationTM technology, which has the potential to revolutionise the storage and transportation of biopharmaceuticals.
Dr Asel Sartbaeva, Co-Founder and CEO commented, “It was such an honour to win Most Innovative Use of Tech in a very competitive category at The SPARKies. It continues to be a fantastic year for EnsiliTech, having been awarded a government contract to develop the world's first thermally stable mRNA vaccine. It is rewarding to see our work in vaccine stabilisation recognised.”
The award reflects EnsiliTech’s unwavering commitment to innovation and dedication to improving global health. Ensilication technology represents a significant leap forward in making biological treatments more accessible, especially in regions where refrigeration is a challenge.
Ensilication is a platform technology which enables the stable storage and transport of vaccines, antibodies and other biotherapeutics without the need for cold chain logistics, reducing overall environmental impact. This advancement is set to have a substantial impact on the delivery of healthcare worldwide.
The SPARKies Awards are an established annual ceremony to celebrate the best of tech in the South West. Powered by techSPARK, a not-for-profit organisation focused on strengthening and supporting the region’s tech ecosystem.
About EnsiliTech
EnsiliTech is a Bristol-based startup, which spun out from the University of Bath in July 2022. In January 2023, EnsiliTech had finalised a first, oversubscribed, pre-seed investment round of £1.2M.
